Working with us

You bring the problem. We build the product.

We take on a small number of things at a time and do them properly. That is a constraint, not a sales line — it is why we can promise the four things below and mean them.

  1. 01

    AI that does real work

Systems that hold on to what matters, find it again when it is needed, and can be checked afterwards. The hard engineering is never the model. It is what the thing is allowed to see, where its answers came from, and what happens on the day it is wrong.

  2. 02

    Automation

Most organisations quietly run on people carrying information between systems that were never introduced to each other. That work is invisible until somebody leaves. We go and find it, and we make it run itself.

  3. 03

    Engineering, physical and digital

Software, and hardware. We have taken products from concept through to production in regulated engineering — where the requirements are audited, a mistake costs real money, and "it worked on my machine" has never been a defence.

How we work

Four things you can hold us to.

  1. We will tell you not to build it

If the thing you are asking for will not do what you need, you hear that first, before an estimate. It costs us the work and saves you the year.

  2. We own the code. You own your data.

That is the deal, and we would rather you read it here than find it in a contract. We build it, host it, run it and licence it to you, which is why you are not funding software from nothing and not left maintaining it either. What is yours stays yours: your data, exportable, whenever you ask, whether or not you are still a customer.

  3. We only take problems other organisations share

If what you need is unique to you, we are the wrong choice and you will hear that early. Our side of the arithmetic depends on the solution outliving the engagement — and so does yours, because it is the reason the thing keeps improving long after we stop sending invoices.

  4. You talk to the people building it

Small and senior by design. Nobody relays your problem to somebody you have never met, and there is no account manager standing between you and the work.

Whether we are a fit

Where this works, and where it does not.

This is the work we want

  • You have a problem rather than a specification, and you want help working out which one it actually is.
  • Other organisations have the same problem, even if none of them have said so out loud.
  • The thing being built has to be trusted with something that matters — money, health, records, someone's time.
  • You would rather have three people who know the whole system than fifteen who each know a piece.

This is not

  • You need to own the intellectual property outright. That is an entirely reasonable requirement, and it is not what we do.
  • The decision has already been made and you need hands to type it.
  • The timeline only works if nobody asks awkward questions.
  • The plan depends on doing something with people's data that you would not want to explain to them.

Tell us what is in your way.

A problem you have been working around for years, something you want built, or the slot after this one on the Lightpass pilot. We would like to hear from you.
